BIS PreRaid ON and OFF Hand for DW lvl 80

So I just came back to WoW to try out cata and was reading around the patches. Noticed that DK got a bit of rework so that blood is no longer DPS viable just a tank tree.

I decided I want to try out some frost DW and just want to know what you all think would make good weapons (Pre-raid as I don't have the gear to raid :p never got that far)

do the weekly bg/wg's for honor and grab 264 pvp weps (2x even, i have one in my mh but couldn't be bothered for the other as i have a h icc wep for oh) then either h pos or h hor for nighttime or black icicle if thats not an option :)

If they still have the "needs rating" tooltip at the vendor ignore it, all you need is the honor and blue has confirmed this is correct

as Avengingbeef said you can get the 264 PVP axes, if you dont like to pvp then Nighttime is the best PVE 1h pre raid option

For PvP weapons, you can buy a one hand and off hand for about the same price as a 2 Hand weapon.

If you are getting Cataclysm at release, best off just waiting a week and all these items will be quickly replaced with quest greens. Just farm JP this week to 4000 cap for when you get 85.

How? You can't buy any level 85 JP gear till you are 85, unless something bugged out. If you mean at 85, 4000 JP will get you about 2 pieces of armour.

There aren't any mainhand weapons from Justice Points (and what everyone else said regarding the rest of the issues with your comment).

One word of advice I would save your honor. Making the 329 ilvl reqs to queue for 5m hero's can be a little annoying. It isn't impossible but grabbing a relic for 700 and a shoulder or glove piece for 1650 is very helpful. I would go shoulder since I don't remember anything other than redsteel shoulders that arent much if any better and have much lower ilvl. Those 2 PvP pieces with a Justice piece or 2 plus questing gear will bring you at the cap pretty close to day 1.

I would do Grim Batol and Lost city reg mode first to get your self familiarized with being back in a TBC PvE environment. Hopping into some Hero's with WolTK mind set will not go well for you or you grp especially if your role is an essential one i.e. Healer, tank or primary CCer.
